Is solar power cheaper than grid power?
Yes, each of our projects results in electricity cost savings for consumers in the building compared to only purchasing electricity from the grid.
Who will coordinate with the building owner and coordinate the project?
VOLTARO takes care of the coordination with the building owner. We also take care of the entire project coordination (from planning to implementation to operation), so that you benefit from sustainable solar power without any effort.
What are the additional costs for tenants/consumers?
There are no additional costs for tenants or consumers - neither during project implementation nor during operation. VOLTARO also coordinates the financing of the project.
What are the contractual relationships?
End consumers conclude a (supplementary) solar power contract with VOLTARO in addition to their existing grid power contract. The duration of the contract is usually based on the remaining lease term.
This enables end consumers to optimize their grid power contracts as usual by means of tenders (e.g. as framework contracts) and at the same time to benefit from low-cost solar power.
Is the entire electricity demand covered by photovoltaics and what happens when the sun is not shining?
As a rule, about 25-30 % of the electricity demand in commercial buildings is covered by solar power. If the sun is not shining or the electricity demand is too high for the photovoltaic system, the remaining electricity demand is supplied via the existing grid connection.
How is a low solar power price ensured in the long term?
Locally used solar power (in contrast to power from the public grid) is exempt from almost all taxes, surcharges and grid usage fees - so the price of solar power remains low in the long term.
